The F.U.E.L. Collection presents Puppies are Biodegradable: an exhibition about Pennsylvania's Puppy Mills, presented on July 6-30, 2007.

The gallery is pleased to host a multidisciplinary group exhibition intended to create awareness about Puppy Mills.

Unspeakable violence is taking place in Puppy Mills, many of them as close as Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The show consists of original artwork created especially in support of the cause. The range of artists reflects the diversity of contemporary art practices, and unites them into one theme: They give voice to the tortured lives of thousands of dogs. Artist statements accompany each piece and add another dimension to this provocative and compelling exhibit.

FUEL Co-Founder and Art Director Jennifer Yaron has created a unique platform to generate dialogue and an atmosphere rich with opportunity for artists who are passionate about animals. The call to artists produced a staggering response from both established and emerging regional artists, and gave Yaron and FUEL staff many submissions to review.

Artists like Annie Heckman, whose animation "Airline to Heaven" is featured, are eager to participate in this collaborative event.

The Assistant Art Director at FUEL sums up the goal "We wanted to raise awareness in a tasteful way."

Addressing various audiences simultaneously, Puppies are Biodegradable(tm) seeks to provide access, education and awareness to foster change, and bring to an end the suffering of thousands of animals.
